OUr swim school facility
We have 55 on site car parks for our customers. There is also ample parking in and around Electra Place.
Oceana uses 3 pools for our learn to swim program.
Our new Infants pool was built in 2017 and is the only purpose-built Infants pool in Hobart. The shallow ledges and steps allow us to do a range of activities unique to our pool.
On weekends we also use our Hydrotherapy pool for Infants classes. Both our infant’s pools are also heated to 33.5C
Infants Pool
Purpose built babies and toddler pool with shallow ledges and steps.
Main & Hydro Pools
Main pool 8 lane 25 Metres, Hydro 11 Metres
Our main pool is heated to 29 to 29.5 C and ranges in depth from 900 mm to 1.4 m. This shallow water depth is perfect for new swimmers and our water temperature is also perfect for Learn to Swim.
Both our Infants and Hydro Pools are heated to 33 – 34 degrees. The infant’s pool is 1.3 Metres deep.
Our Hydro pool ranges from 1.2 to 1.5 m deep and also has a deeper section at 2.0 Metres which is perfect for rehab.
Pool hoists and hand rails are available for both hydro and Infants pools.
We also have 3 sets of dedicated changerooms in our aquatics area.
Our original Members Changerooms for adults and infants (under 5’s) who may be using our hydro pool for classes
Learn to Swim Changerooms which are child only and on the far side of our main pool. No adults are permitted to change in here.
Parent and child under 5 in our New Infants pool. This area also has a parenting room with 6 change tables, and tea/coffee making facilities along with a couple of couches & a TV for parents to relax or feed their child after lessons.
And we added a new family changing room including shower cubicles in 2017 as well which allows a family to shower & change boys and girls in the same room which is much more convenient than having to run between 2 areas.
